Carbon Footprint Calculator
A team at the Fats and Proteins Research Foundation (FPRF), the North American Renderers Association (NARA), and the Animal Co-Products Research and Education Center (ACREC) at Clemson University, developed this carbon footprint calculator. Leading the team was Dr. Charles Gooding, past Chairman of the Clemson University Department of Chemical Engineering. This FPRF funded project developed a spreadsheet model of the various greenhouse gas emissions that would be generated if the rendering plants did not exist.
